Don’t Leave home Without It: celebrities and Their Louis Vuitton Luggage

[Editor’s Note: Over the next two weeks, while we celebrate Christmas and new Year’s with our families and friends, we’ll be adding some of our many popular messages of the past few years to our daily coverage, updated with new photos and information. because today is one of the busiest travel days of the year, we’ll start off with this new-and-improved look at how celebrities travel with their Louis Vuitton Luggage.]

In life, there are a few terrific equalizers: the DMV, the checkout line at Duane Reade, the Ticketmaster site the morning that lady Gaga Beyonce tickets go on sale. For celebrities, the terrific equalizer seems to be the airport; no matter how rich and well-known they are, unless they fly on only private plans and out of private airports (and practically none of them do), legendary film stars and reality famewhores alike need to go through security, submit their bags to X-ray machines and submit themselves to the paparazzi who endlessly trawl LAX and JFK, waiting for them to make the walk from their gate to their waiting automobile service. no one escapes certain guidelines of modern air travel.

Because of that, we have a terrific deal of photographic evidence discussing exactly how stars travel, and it looks as though there’s a second terrific equalizer at the airport besides the TSA: Louis Vuitton luggage. stars overwhelmingly favor monogram canvas Keepalls and Pegase rolling suitcases as their go-to designer carry-ons, but other pieces and materials get a little bit of love as well. much more than anything, though, it’s outstanding how much Vuitton’s travel gear seems to cross all kinds of lines – gender, race, age, profession type, fame level – to saturate the celebrity market. check out the LV pieces preferred by everyone from Jane Fonda to Kim Kardashian after the jump.

Somehow, it feels best to start with Kim Kardashian. Not only are the Kardashians continuously in airports (I think I’ve seen much more pictures of them at LAX than on red carpets), but Kim’s Louis Vuitton Hat Box, a version of which retails for $3,000 through Louis Vuitton, is pretty damn cool. Hers appears to be a larger model than is available online.

It’s not just Kim, though – Louis Vuitton Luggage is something of a family obsession. here are Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian rolling a cart filled with what appears to be several Louis Vuitton monogram Canvas Suitcases (If you know the exact model names, tell us! We’re stumped.) and a Louis Vuitton Damier Canvas carry On of some sort.

And then, of course, there’s Khloe Kardashian, the most sensible member of the family and a frequent user of a Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite Pegase Rolling Suitcase. You can own one through Louis Vuitton starting at $2680. (Also, check out that beautiful red Hermes Birkin!)

When the entire Kardashian clan travels with Louis Vuitton, it looks something like this.

The Kardashians aren’t the only people with a whole menagerie of Vuitton luggage. check out TopShop heiresses Chloe Green’s stash, including a Yayoi Kusama polka dot suitcase.

Nicole Richie has a luggage cart stacked high with Louis Vuitton, including a Louis Vuitton Keepall. pick one up for $1,640 through Louis Vuitton.

It’s not just reality stars and heiresses that travel with Vuitton; accomplished young actress Dakota Fanning has a Louis Vuitton Keepall with her initials painted on it. You can get the non-monogrammed version for $1,640.

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, former girls next Door castmate and Playboy Bunny Holly Madison also enjoys a monogrammed Louis Vuitton monogram Canvas Keepall 45. This smaller version starts at $1,500 through Louis Vuitton without the monogram.

Usually we see LV luggage in the dark confines of the airport, so it’s good to catch Alexa Chung with her Louis Vuitton Mon monogram Pegase Suitcase in the light of day.

We love a Louis Vuitton canine Carrier, but we love former Marc Jacobs paramour Lorenzo Martone’s Shiba Inu pup even more. pick up the carrier (sadly, not the pup) for $2,780.

Heiress Tamara Eccelstone also carries her pooch in a Louis Vuitton canine Carrier.

Wayne Rooney may be one of the most highly paid footballers in the world, but that doesn’t imply he isn’t in charge of schlepping his family’s luggage, including partner Coleen Rooney‘s monogrammed Louis Vuitton Keepall. (Looks like a 50 to me, but counting motifs in a photo like this makes my brain hurt.) This version with no take on strap starts at $1,200 through Louis Vuitton.

Young actress Chloe Moretz is also a big fan of her Louis Vuitton Mon monogram Keepall Bag.

Fitness guru Jillian Michaels has one of the most huge Louis Vuitton Mon monogram Keepall Bags we’ve ever seen.

Monica, on the other hand, prefers her well-worn classic Louis Vuitton monogram Canvas Keepall 55 sans her own initials. $1,550 through Louis Vuitton.

Dita Von Teese’s combination of a crest-customized vintage Vuitton hat box and rolling suitcase is about as stylish as luggage gets.

On the other end of the size spectrum, British celeb Kelly Brook has a petite toiletry case for traveling. The closest match we could find is the Louis Vuitton good Bag, which will set you back $2,650.

It’s Minka Kelly, though, who has my favorite of all: a chocolate-y brown leather Louis Vuitton Duffel Bag with a large embossed monogram. We can’t figure out the exact name of this bag, the leather or the season it came out – edify us in the comments!

Hayden Panettiere keeps things easy with a monogram Louis Vuitton Keepall.

Sofia Vergara chooses to travel like a lot of non-celebs: with her trusty Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote as her carry-on bag. pick up one of your own for $1,160 through Louis Vuitton.

Reese Witherspoon clearly had the same idea, except her bag is the Louis Vuitton Mon monogram Neverfull Tote. get hers for $1,500 through Louis Vuitton.

Bradley Cooper proves that just because you’re a dude doesn’t imply you need to carry a huge travel bag. His rather petite Louis Vuitton monogram Canvas Carryall, $1510 through Louis Vuitton, seems to be getting the job done just fine.

Singer (and Mariah Carey hubby, let’s be real) Nick Cannon prefers a Louis Vuitton Christopher backpack as his carry-on, which appears to have been discontinued.

Speaking of well-known young boy toys, here’s Jennifer Aniston’s paramour, Justin Theroux, lugging a Louis Vuitton Keepall at LAX. You can own one for $1,640.

Ian Somerhalder’s Louis Vuitton garment bag (containing a Louis Vuitton suit) isn’t technically luggage, but he’s pretty cute, so here he is.

Hugh Jackman going straight Wolverine on his Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite Keepall Bag never ceases to entertain me. get your own for $1,660.

And then, of course, there’s the Louis Vuitton Pegase Suitcase. Melanie Griffiths appears to have one in her hand and several much more on her luggage cart. They start at $2680 through Louis Vuitton.

Kate Hudson, trying to re-dress herself after going through safety and security while standing next to her Louis Vuitton Mon monogram Pegase Suitcase, proves that none of us are totally free from the indignities of the airport.

The Louis Vuitton Pegase Rolling Suitcase isn’t just for ladies, though – country star Tim McGraw is also a fan. shop the Pegase through Louis Vuitton.

David Arquette is another dude who prefers a Pegase.

Friend-of-Vuitton Kirsten Dunst not only travels with a Louis Vuitton Pegase, but also with a Louis Vuitton Alma. leather Almas start at $1830 through Louis Vuitton.

Actress Paula Patton gives us a much more casual take on the Pegase, and it looks as though she’s probably hauling a Louis Vuitton Keepall as well.

If you like a personal touch like Emma Roberts does, the Louis Vuitton Pegase is also part of the Mon monogram customization program. customized suitcases start at $3400 through Louis Vuitton.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also prefers her Pegase monogrammed.

We think that Kylie Minogue has the best idea – one of the perks of being rich has to be the ability to pay someone else to manage your bags at the airport.

And then there’s tween dream Ashley Tisdale, serving up a double dose of Vuitton with a Pegase and a Louis Vuitton canine Carrier. Vuitton’s canine Carriers start at $2340.

If only all American travelers were as elegant as Emmy Rossum with her Pegase and leopard trench…this looks beats sweats and UGGs by a mile.

On the other hand, Olympic ice skater Johnny Weir‘s look is a little more…glam. His Louis Vuitton Pegase and LV scarf make a pleased pair, though. (And what’s that coat, Rick Owens? Gotta be Rick Owens.)

Even Jane Fonda uses a Louis Vuitton Pegase.

Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, on the other hand, seems to be one of the few, the proud, the Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Eole lovers – it’s like a very durable duffel, but with wheels. Those start at $2260 through Louis Vuitton.

Supermodel Stephanie Seymour may appear to be weighed down like a pack mule in this photo, but don’t feel too bad for her – the baubles she’s hauling in that Louis Vuitton jewelry case are sure enough to make anybody jealous. The case itself retails for $8600 through Louis Vuitton. (The Alaia tote ain’t too shabby either.)
